A Saturday Brunch Outfit

PARA ESPAÑOL ABAJO 🙂

Hi babes!

I’ve been a hot mess this week because my other half has been out of town. When he’s not here I’m chaos because we have a daily routine that obviously I can’t keep by myself. In the mornings, he brings me coffee and prepares my lunch; at night, I cook and he washes the dishes. I just can’t function without my coffee! And when I arrive home after work I don’t feel like cooking at all, so I’ve been living from noodle soup all week. Baby come back!

As many of you know from my Instagram feed, last Saturday I attended an RGV Influencers brunch at House Wine Bistro hosted by Indigo Public Relations. I had an amazing time meeting other influencers and bloggers in my area, I already knew some of them, others I had only met online and others I hadn’t heard of, but all of them are such sweethearts and I hope we keep in touch. It’s always a good thing to have a community of people that do what you do so they understand the hard work that blogging is about. Some of us may do this for fun but it still feels like a job.

So I want to thank Indigo Public Relations and the gladiators! They made sure we had an awesome time and gave us the opportunity to mingle with each other to build relationships in the social media world. Thank you to House Wine Bistro for the delicious brunch and dragon fruit mimosas, and of course, to all the sponsors! I received wonderful goodies from them like a pair of earrings from Runway House of Style, a lunch bag, key chain, cup and many coupons from La Catrina Artesanal, swag from European Wax, an energy drink from Advocare and coupons for the Juice Bar in McAllen, Shop Monarch, and Charming Charlie. Also, there were amazing vendor booths just for us: Shop Style by Ale, Isabella Guerrero Make Up Artist and Advocare. Oh and thanks to Vicaroli for the astonishing balloons and Giron Art for creating a stunning piece so we could take beautiful pictures.

So now let’s talk about what I wore. The outfit is actually two completely separate pieces of clothing that I decided to combine. The shirtdress is from H&M and cost me like $10 dollars. I purchased it like a year and a half ago but had never wore it because I felt it was too baggy, so I was thinking how to make it work… I tried a belt… No, didn’t like it… Then I thought, why not use a mini skirt on top? I tried it and I fell in love with it. I made the dress work! It is a typical white shirtdress with blue strips; the only difference is that the collar has its own special detail.

As for the skirt, you know me… I got it ten years ago from Armani Exchange. If you read my blog on a consistent basis, you know that I love to save clothes that are out of style and bring them to life a few years later when the trend is back. This one is a satin A line mini skirt with pockets on its sides.

I styled this outfit with Forever 21 black suede platforms and trendy tassel earrings I purchased from Shop Style by Ale at the event for $7.

Hola Babes!

No me gusto…

Stunning. Amazingly written. I wish I had could pull off a look like that. Simple , sweet and just a kick of sass. I should this to my budding flower who has recently decided she wants to become a fashion designer, she is now currently trudging through my closet to to find a button down long enough to try this look out.
